I was finally able to join in the Mojo Monday fun!! I'm a day behind on that as you all well know, better late then never. This weeks Mojo threw me for a loop, I just couldn't decided which style I wanted to do square or round so I did both! Ave's Baby Shower Cards

Okay, Okay, everyone I know, I promised to post these cards on Monday. But, if I haven't fallen asleep yet it still counts as Monday right? RIGHT?! lol

So, on Sunday time got away from me & those darn Baby Shower cards never saw the day of light. It takes time finding everything that I put away for Thanksgiving  so that the table would be cleared. After pulling everything & messing it all up the way it belongs. I was able to create, & here they are...

Tada! Hope y'all liked them! I thought they were really cute. Ave hasn't seen them yet (she's in bed already) or rather she only saw the first one I posted, she loved that one. Let's hope she feels the same way about the others. That way we can get these darn cards out of the the way! So, the 1st one is the invitation to the Baby Shower, the 2nd one is the Thank You card (as you may well have guessed, since I stamped Thank you on it *wink), & lastly the 3rd one is for the Birth Announcement. Let's see what she says & because I had to make three coordinating cards. Guess what?!!!! Now I'm also able to participate in the Triple Play for the Verve Project Parade at Verve Stamps!

Well it was Monday & I didn't do the Mojo Monday but, no worries. I'll be right on that tomorrow after the house cleaning. Of course I'll be posting it for you to see, I've already seen the sketch it's a good one can't wait to get right on that. See ya tomorrow!!! Now it's off to bed with me!

Let The Count Down Begin!

Good Morrow My Stampin' Friend!!!

It is another wonderful day here in Houston. The sun is bright & the weather is perfect! I just absolutely LOVE these types of days! So, for the last few days I have been recovering from the cooking extravaganza that was Thanksgiving.

Now, that I am well rested & almost everything is back in it's place. I am now going to sit down & create! Create what? You ask, well as I have mentioned before my daughter is pregnant & she is hounding me to get all her invites done. I've already made her Baby Shower invite, now she wants me to make the Thank You cards & Birth Announcements. So, alas that is my task for today finish designing those cards for her. So, that we can then finalize the menu & all the other decor pieces that I will be needing to design for her Baby Shower Theme. But, for today! I'm focusing on her cards only. So, hopefully tomorrow I'll have those cards ready to for you to see.

Happy 2 Days After Thanksgiving!

Thank goodness that in my last post I had the good sense to tell y'all that I might or might not post something for y'all on Thanksgiving day. As you may well have guessed time got away from me & I had started a whole day early just so that I would be able to do everything I wanted & no dice. It seemed that every time I thought I was finished BAM!!! There was something else for me to do or rather that I forgot to do. Needless to say I never got that Family banner done for y'all to see!!!

Never the less I do have so pics of Christmas cards for ya! Here they are...

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with there families. I know I did! I love to be surrounded by my friends and family!!!

Last Weeks Monday Mojo 165

Happy Day before Thanksgiving EVERYONE!!!! Are ya ready for the hog down day?!!! I'm in the process of getting ready right now. Can't wait for all my friends & family to get here & for us to be all together as a united family. Isn't that what it's all about? FAMILY!!! What are you Thankful for?... I am Thankful for everyone in & around my life that help make me be the person that I am. But, most & fore most I am Thankful for my FAMILY!!! My kids, grandson Memphis (apple of my eye), my daddy, brothers, & My Pauly!!! Who with out I would be nothing.

Now, on another note as I mention yesterday I participated in the Monday Mojo. But, like I also said we don't necessarily have to do it on that Monday or week! So, here is what I made Monday from last weeks Mojo. I posted this weeks Mojo yesterday. Here is the sketch...

Aren't they cute?!! I totally LOVE this layout, I think I'm going to use it often until another one comes along that I love just as much. lol I think I'm going to make a Valentine's & Baby Shower card in this layout & of course I will post them for you! Just not today!

I will try & post something for you tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day but, I'm not making any promises! Some time in my schedule today I am planning on making a Thanksgiving Banner for the fireplace mantel & that is what I'm planning on posting for tomorrow.

Hello Everyone!!!

So yesterday I had decided to try my hand at the Mojo Monday it's GREAT have you seen it? So I created 4 cards yesterday, 2 from this Monday's Mojo or rather 1 the other I totally CASED & made some minor changes. The other 2 where from last weeks Mojo, that's the GREAT thing about it!!! You don't have to make them necessarily on Monday you can do them when ever you get a chance, I'll post those tomorrow for you though. Look!!! I What I Won!!!

I'm not sure if ya'll know but...back in October on the 12th Stampin' Up! was having a Book-a-Thon Blitz a race to 5,000 bookings in a day! Everyone who reported a booking receive a prize for reporting their first booking, & was entered into a drawing for a $100 shopping spree for each additional booking reported. But the fun didn't stop there! If we reached our goal of 5,000 bookings-every demonstrator who reported a booking will receive an additional fabulous prize. Yay, Stampin' Up!!!!!!!

So, off I went to make calls I wanted this prize really bad! I needed to update my stuff. Call after call was placed after first call I got a "Yes, I'll book"! I was surprised, it totally took me of guard. So, placed another call I received the same answer. I was like WHAT is that all I had to do ask?! Guess so! I did get a couple of no's & maybes. But, mostly yeses!! Book-a-Thon Blitz ended at midnight that day. But, I kept going till the end of the week. My up-line Penny Thomas had previously made the same promotion with in our group THE TOPIC'S!! So, I decided to keep going & try to win the promotion with our group! I figured what do I have to lose I'm more than half way there so I did! In the end I ended up with 10 Booking! What a fabulous prize that is for my self other than what I might have a chance to win.

To my surprise I won with in our group for the most Booking! I received an Million Dollar Prize from my up-line Penny. Hmmmm, I wondered what is it? I was soooo curious. I finally received it guess what it was? I'll tell you, it was a Simply Adorned Charm 1"X1" from our Simply Adorned Line. You can find it in our 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog on page 189. As a matter of fact here is a picture of what I won for you.

I have been thinking though & I have concluded that it would be easier for me to post the cards 1 at a time as I make them. Rather than posting them all together, as I have been doing. So, as of tomorrow I'll bee doing it that way.

MIA

I know ya'll are thinking to ya'll self, what happened to Blanca. Well...that pesky thing we call life tends to get in the way!!! Where to start? Well I ended up get a cold, because we got unusually cold weather here in Texas. Way too cold for us Texans!! As I was just getting over this darn cold, I get a phone call from my pregnant daughter & she tells me someone rear ended her on her way to class after work!!! I FREAKED out!! I was like what no, really?!!! Oh, Lord please give me strength! My babies, is what my first thought was. Everyone was OK, we had to go to the hospital. My daughter had started have stress related contractions, no, no, no way to early for this baby she just turned 6mo. They kept us there till she calmed down & contractions went away. Needless to say it was a scare!!! Here is what her car looked like, after the accident.

Guess who was the person or company that rear ended her? Comcast!!! It was a darn Comcast van!!! So, there sheriff said that it was Comcast's fault & that they would have to pay for everything. So, next morning daughter takes my truck to work & calls Comcast & they tell her we can not speak to  you until 72 hrs after the accident. My daughter was like WHAT!!!!! They are sooooo rude there!!! Please know if they hit you they will try to not take responsibility for there drivers action! We, got it all take care of though.

That was part one, her goes part two...So, after my darn cold passes. I have my daughter drop me off at the Dentist on her way to Therapy, because my wisdom bottom, right tooth was throbbing so bad. As I feared Dr said it needs to come out. $275 to pull it, but since it's infected they can't do it till infection goes away. So Dr opted to drill some of my tooth from my upper wisdom tooth to alleviate the pain & guess what it worked!! Guess he knows what he was doing. lol As I'm leaving the office going to wait for my daughter I get a phone call from her, she says "Mom"? "Yes" I responded the Therapist wanted me to call because...I passed out! Once again I said WHAT!!! Man!!! How much more can we take?! But, I'm OK now I'm on my way to pick you up. I was like "Are you CRAZY stay there"!!! No, no, no I'm fine. On my way now. Oh, how this girl is hard headed. She finally arrived after what seemed forever!!! I was like get on the other side lady cause I'm driving. We headed to the store to fill my prescription, & while in the store waiting. What does Ave tell me? Mom, I feel like I'm going to pass out again. Ave sit down, till it passes. After it passed, I had her call her Dr. Dr said bed rest for you my friend. As days passed Ave got cabin Fever...more like 1 day lol and this was our compromise.

She is off bed rest now & everything is okay. They have her on light duty now till the end of her pregnancy. Enough with that drama which is my life. On a lighter note...
